This weekend (Nov. 18th-20th), Abilities Expo once again will have its annual exhibition at San Jose McEnery Convention Center. This event will showcase a breadth of products and services that families, with individuals with disabilities will find helpful and interesting.
Admission to Abilities Expo is free, and show hours are Friday 11 am to 5 pm, Saturday 11 am to 5 pm and Sunday 11 am to 4 pm. Parking is $3. Complimentary loaner scooters and wheelchair repair are also available during show hours.
We, here at specialneedsinmycity, have attended this event numerous times and found it valuable and comprehensive. You will find various companies (over 100+) demonstrating advances in technology, camp counselors discussing year-round summer camps available throughout Northern California, book publishers, adaptive sports, face paintings, etc.
If you child has physical challenges, we recommend that you take your child with you to test the appropriate durable equipment. If you’re child has speech delays, you will find the assistive technology demonstrations helpful. You may have heard about medical marijuana from friends or relatives. Learn from the experts. With new cannabis regulation from the California legislature, know where you stand legally.
Check out their free workshops.
