Hear From Our Attendees
What I would say about Special Needs in My City is that I wish I would have found it sooner. The events and support you offer cannot be overstated. Connecting with families that understand similar struggles like advocating for the services our children need or celebrating even the smallest milestone our child accomplish.
It’s where parents feel seen and heard. And even more importantly, it is an organization that offers our children the opportunity to develop friendships with one another. Friendships you see fostered year after year. A wonderful example of this is the weekly Rasi meeting. Anabella does everything in her power not to miss!
Thank you Meena and everyone involved in Special Needs in My City.

As a supporter and volunteer for SNIMC from the beginning, I've watched as it was transformed from a single-parent, grass roots effort, to a board run, multi-volunteer non-profit organization that not only serves the needs of the community, but fills hearts and voids and positively influences many families in Stanislaus county and beyond.
The annual Health and Wellness Conference has a huge impact and is an excellent source of information, networking, bonding and village building. It never feels good to feel alone, and I think the conference gets parents and caregivers together so they can feel seen and heard and not judged. I love being a part of SNIMC and look forward every year to help and be involved with the wonderful Health and Wellness Conference.

Navigating the special needs world is so difficult, and sometimes heartbreaking.
By discovering Special Needs In My City I've discovered a community that understands our struggles, I've discovered resources and education, and sports teams that all my children can participate in.
These supports have helped our family so much!

I would like to invite you to an amazing event that I look forward to all year long. It's happening on November 14th 2026. I have met some of my best friends at this event, I have learned about so many resources that are in our community and have also gained knowledge, many new strategies and tools for supporting and advocating for my daughter.
This event is the 8th annual health and wellness conference put on by SNIMC. Come join us for this relaxing day in a non judgemental group who really understands what we all go through.
